Like any martial art, the art of the sword brings with it a host of bumps and bruises. Made from the same high-quality leather and stitch construction as our Swordsmans’ Gloves, these gloves have added, flexible foam along the back of the fingers, thumb, hand and wrist. We have chosen a foam that, while dense, is not as stiff as that found in other gloves and therefore should not restrict mobility where you need it.
While only an armoured gauntlet can fully protect the hand against sword cuts, the Padded Swordsman’s Glove is designed to help protect against light blows, missed parries in rapier-play, and controlled sparring with light weapons.
